Chromalox Awarded US Patent for Wireless Temperature Sensing Technology
The ideal temperature sensing solution for both new and expanding heat trace systems.
PITTSBURGH, PA, USA – December 12, 2016 – Chromalox, the leader in advanced thermal technologies, today announced its awarding of a United States Patent for its Wireless Temperature Sensing capabilities.
Due to advancements in product reliability and security, wireless is rapidly becoming the preferred sensing technology of choice in many commercial and industrial facilities. It can reduce installation costs and more easily solve geographically and structurally challenging sensing applications. Also, the portability of wireless transmitters permits temperature profile optimization throughout plant piping systems and the addition of redundant wireless temperature sensors to electrically heated circuits enhances process integrity.
The Chromalox Wireless Temperature Sensing system includes the IntelliTrace® ITAS or ITLS Series Heat Trace Control Panel and specified industrial wireless transmitters, which are paired with appropriate temperature sensors. The IntelliTrace system is the only fully integrated Wireless Temperature Sensing Heat Trace system available. The panel seamlessly facilitates both wired and wireless temperature sensor inputs and the touchscreen computer HMI distinguishes wireless circuits from wired ones.
Scott Treser, Vice-President of Component Technologies at Chromalox states, “Wireless temperature sensing of heat trace circuits addresses critical customer pain points such as cost, safety and flexibility.” Treser adds, “Our seamlessly integrated IntelliTrace solution ensures comprehensive system integrity that other systems simply cannot provide.”
