What is it & how does it work?
An energy efficient heating system that turns entire floors and other surfaces into radiators, warming spaces without uncomfortable hot or cold air pockets by pumping water from a heater through a embedded loop of flexible tubing. Once up and running, a radiant heat system can be up to 30 percent more energy efficient than forced-air heating.
This same principle is used in hydronic snow melting applications. Hydronic snow melt systems are especially suitable for large-scale, commercial applications, where the potential for lower operating costs is higher. These systems help prevent slip-and-fall accidents and liability issues by keeping the surfaces clear and dry. And removes the need for manual snow removal, salt, cinder, and chemical de-icers, which can damage the pavement and the environment.
