Conventional electric resistance, metal-sheathed heating has been limited to operating at 1,000 volts, Chromalox has created a breakthrough in heating technology that allows voltages of up to 7,200V to be used in multiple heating products. A combination of material science, design engineering, and proprietary manufacturing techniques were used to develop the DirectConnect heating system.
Compared to a traditional low voltage design, DirectConnect products can slash installation costs up to 90% and also improve operational efficiency. By harnessing the power of higher voltage, users can gain the benefit of zero on-site emissions, while providing the easy, scalable power control electric heat is known for.

DirectConnect is capable of handling voltages up to 7,200V. Typical products include immersion and circulation heaters, heat transfer systems, steam boilers, and vaporizers. Operators in such markets as power generation, petrochemical, and oil & gas are ideal users due to the large inherent heating demands at their facilities.
