Chromalox Cartridge Immersion Heaters are an ideal choice to heat a variety of liquids such as water, oil and corrosive solutions in smaller tanks, reservoirs, instruments and appliances. Unlike tubular heating element immersion heaters, cartridge immersion heaters are capable of delivering a large concentration of wattage in a very small footprint size. A moisture tight fitting is welded or brazed to the cartridge heater sheath for mounting in the application device. Chromalox provides many commonly used fitting thread standards such as NPT, UNC, UNF, BSPS and BSPT, and M series metric thread standards. Fittings are typically supplied in 304, 316 and 316L Stainless Steels, Steel and Brass alloys. A variety of end seals are available to address different environmental challenges. Typical end seal materials are RTV’s, Epoxies and PTFE end plugs; and Teflon, PVC or Silicone Rubber insulated lead wires are generally employed for power connection.
