Kapton Heaters

Kapton Heaters
Application

Type

Kapton Heaters are very thin (typically .007"), light weight, etched foil heating elements. They have a temperature range of up to 392°F (200°C). They are available in custom shapes and sizes. Similar in construction to the silicone rubber heater they have the advantage of being lighter weight and operate with virtually no outgassing. They have a wide variety of applications in medical, analytical instrumentation, semiconductor and aerospace.

  • Thin, lightweight, low out gassing
  • Temperatures to 392°F (200°C)
  • UL: Optional
  • Bend Radius: 0.032" minimum
  • Resistance to most solvents and acids and radiation to 10^6 rads
  • Ability to place heat where it is needed, even controlled heat profiles
  • Thin construction means fast thermal transfers which equates to quick heat up
  • Very small sizes
