From single loop with one output to multiple-loop with 9 outputs and microprocessor-based PID control, Chromalox offers precisely the required level of simplicity or sophistication. Advanced models feature heating and/or cooling control modes, graphical / text LCD display, multiple alarm protection, programmable event outputs, customizable setup, enhanced profiling with data logging and graphical trend recording. Remote access is accomplished via Modbus RS-485 or Modbus TCP Ethernet. Efficiencies are improved with the new Chromalox configuration software and USB data ports and many units are suitable for NEMA 4X / IEC IP66 environments.

TPR Heat Trace Freeze Protection Thermostats
The Chromalox TPR thermostat is designed to control heat tracing systems used for freeze protection in nonhazardous locations. The thermostat has a fixed setpoint of 40˚F(5˚C) and can be used for ambient sensing or line sensing. It can be used to control a single heat trace circuit or as a pilot controller of a contactor switching multiple circuits.

Hazardous Location Duct Heaters
Chromalox hazardous location duct heaters are designed for use in applications where hazardous gases or dusts may be present. They feature a heavy duty, rugged frame and heating elements. Stainless steel and painted heater frames can be designed for corrosive and marine environments. Model FP-AH and EX-AH are offered with integral safety cutouts to maintain surface temperatures below rated temperature classes. Configurations are offered with ATEX, IECEx, EAC, and CSA certifications where the hazardous location is either outside of or within the air stream. Duct heaters can also be configured for use in low ambient temperatures, down to -50°C (-58°F).
